The theme this time is "Superheros!"  With the popularity of Superheros of all types it seems fitting to mix their world with our weekend camping to give the boys & Me Toos a weekend of fun to remember.  Scouts will have the chance to work on their scouting skills while having fun at the same time!  We will also have a chance to have a showdown battle with some Super Villains!

Weather permitting, we will have a night hike around 7:00pm on Friday.  You should eat before you arrive on Friday.  Dinner is on your own.  We will return from the hike and bake a few special treats over the fire.  On Saturday morning, we will turn our leaders into Super Heros - dress them up & determine what powers they will have.  We will then set off for the quests for the day.  We hope to have our new Class B T-shirts in and they will be the required dress for Saturday.  If you have additional super hero items (capes, shields, etc), you can add to your uniform for the events on Saturday.

Saturday evening will be our Campfire Program, starting with awards for the day followed by our Bobcat Ceremony.  Afterwards we will have a few skits and jokes by the fire.  Each den should be ready to do a couple skits!  When we wake up on Sunday morning, we will have a Scouts Own service followed by breakfast and camp clean up / tear down.

Important Notes

  • This will again be a "green" camp out.  Everyone needs to bring a water bottle/cup and mess kit (reusable plate & utensils).  This doesn't have to be an official "mess" kit - any plastic reusable items will do.

  • A few of us will arrive early on Friday to get things set up.  If you have not signed up for Remind101, please do so now.  It is easy and we can provide you with any last minute information via text messages.  To sign up, send a text message to: 81010 with the following in the message:  @pack926.  That's it!

  • Dens will camp together.  Areas for the dens will be marked.  Webelos will be camping together in their pack tents, but their families will be setup nearby.

  • You can arrive at the campground as early as 2:00pm on Friday.  We will all depart before noon on Sunday.

  • Driving times is estimated at 30-40 minutes.  You are responsible for your own family's dinner on Friday night, so grab a bite on the way.  If you can get there before dark, putting up your tent will be a lot easier!  If not, I'm sure someone will pitch in and give you a hand.

  • Dress code - Friday evening anything.   Saturday - Class B (New Pack t-shirts).  Friday evening campfire:  Class A.  Sunday morning:  Class B.

  • Dens have been assigned both kitchen and breakdown duties for this camp.  Because we have conflicting camping schedules, only a couple of Boy Scouts from Troop 9 will be joining us.  David Brady will be running the kitchen and several of you have volunteered for shifts assisting him.  Dens will also assist in the kitchen.  Den kitchen duty will consist of set up and clean up.  Teardown will consist of getting that part of the camp torn down, packed into the trailers and trash picked up.  See the schedules below.
